Belfast hard nut Tommy Tolan is back in action later this evening against former prospect George Hillyard. Featuring on the undercard of Mark Prince’s fight with Jiri Svacina in London’s York Hall venue the 39-year-old ‘Tiger’ promises to be a live underdog against a man who has spent considerable time away from the ring.

Speaking at yesterday’s weigh-in, fitness fanatic Tommy said, “[I’m] absolutely tip-top, a hundred percent ready, I’ve trained hard for this at camp and looking forward to tomorrow.”

Tolan has fought the likes of Dee Walsh, Tony Jeffries and Michael Sweeney during a mixed 20-fight career. Since scoring a stunning upset knockout win over JJ McDonagh in Dublin back in 2010 Tommy has endured a winless streak of 12 losses and one draw.

The ‘Call of Duty’ event is available to watch live and exclusive on-line at www.boxingevolution.tv for just £4.99 (approx. $US8.50, €Euro 6.30)

Tommy is a total warrior and when he retires he can hold his head high. Shame he did not get an Irish title shot during a long and illustrious career.
